P.A.S.S. scavenger hunt will benefit
150th anniversary celebrations

Southampton, Ont., May 11, 2008 -- In honour of Southampton's 150th Anniversary Performing Arts of Saugeen Shores presents its ultimate Southampton Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, June 14.

"The fun starts at the Walker House at 12:30 sharp. We'll have all teams out the door by 1 pm," Scavenger Hunt organizer Karen Schroeder said. "They must return by 3 pm and we'll have everything wrapped up by 4 pm. Of course you can stay longer at the Walker House if you want to."

You'll need a vehicle and a digital camera. The entry fee is $20 a team. Teams are two to four people, and may be made up of family members, friends or a combination.

Top-placed teams will win prizes and gift certificates from Martha's of Southampton, Cook's Cupboard, Schendel & Sullivan, Mid Summer's Café, Wino's Wine Making and more to be announced. The Walker House is providing munchies for participants when they return from their adventure.

All entry fees go to Southampton's 150th Anniversary celebrations. "Come join in the fun, and show your support for Southampton's 150th birthday at the same time," Karen Schroeder said.

To enter the scavenger hunt, contact Karen Schroeder, 519-832-4151, schroeders@bmts.com. Entries are due by June 8.

The goal of Performing Arts of Saugeen Shores (P.A.S.S.) in presenting artistic performances is to provide the community with the best in live theatre and arts/cultural entertainment. P.A.S.S. develops the skills and confidence of various performers and technicians, encouraging them to experience for themselves the exhilaration of embodying another character on stage or refining a skill or talent. Through the rehearsal and performing process, P.A.S.S. endeavours to provide a creative outlet for the many artists and technicians who collaborate to bring a performance to life.

For more about the organization, contact Debbie Legault, 519-832-3968, mdlegault@gmail.com.
