Show your Southampton pride!
150th anniversary souvenirs available

Southampton, Ont., Aug. 7, 2008 -- Whether you're a current or former Southamptonite, a regular visitor or a first-timer, there's a wonderful selection of Southampton Pride merchandise for sale to help celebrate the town's 150th anniversary.

Specially labeled VQA wines from Pelee Island Wines -- "Captain Spence" and "Sailor's Delight"--are available for a limited time only and are a great way to toast those happy memories during this time of celebration.

How about showing your Southampton pride by wearing clothing with the 150th logo from Chantry Trading. T-shirts, golf shirts, ball caps and sweatshirts in a full range of sizes and colours will long remind you of the great time you've had at the many events in the program.

There isn't a better way to express Southampton pride than to fly Southampton's beautiful blue and white flag. Available as a full size flag (27" by 54") to adorn the front of your residence or in the smaller size just to wave as the parade goes by, it's a perfect and permanent reminder of just how special our town is.

One souvenir you can cherish for years is the just-published Southampton Remembered book, 120 pages of memories that people have of Southampton over the years. This is truly a beautiful publication that would make a wonderful addition to your literary collection. It also makes a perfect gift to friends and family members alike.

If your taste runs to souvenir calendars, hand-held fans with pictures of old times in Southampton, blue and white bunting, or buttons to say you've been here, all these items and more are available.

All souvenirs (and tickets for events) are available at the 150th Store on High Street, next to Designing Women. The store is open 10-6, seven days a week, except Thursday, 10-8. For information, call Brenda at 519-797-2215.

You're sure to find a number of items to make you proud to be a part of Southampton's 150th celebration, Aug. 14-17.
