This is a true story. Cocoa the poodle really was afraid of being in the canoe when Heather and Chelsea took him on a trip down the Saugeen River. But soon enough Cocoa learned what an adventure it was.
Author Heather Wallace is a social worker in Southampton. She enjoys taking her kayak on the Saugeen (and telling stories about Cocoa).
